Did you want to know Mac OS X Lion Release Date? According to the reports, the release date of OS X Lion set on July 14th. The July 14 release date also coincides with the rumored date of the new MacBook Air's release.

The release will come through the Mac App Store for $29.99. Separately, a server version of OS X Lion will be available via the Mac App Store for $49.99.

The new operating system will have 250 new features according to Apple. There are new multi-touch gestures which make the Mac a lot like the iPhone or iPad including momentum scrolling, tapping or pinching your fingers to zoom in on a web page or image. It's likely that the new features will be available on the new Macbook Airs.
