Arbor Day | Arbor Day 2010. The last Friday of April is Arbor Day, and that day is today. Most people know that Arbor Day celebrates the beauty and importance of trees in the environment. Arbor Day is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant and care for trees. It originated in the United States in 1872. Many countries now observe it on various dates, depending on climate and suitable planting season, usually in the spring.

Tree-planting is not the only way to celebrate Morton's cause - but certainly the best one. So, Happy Arbor Day everyone.
